Profile.
I’m a Murri from FNQ, my people are Tagalaka and Taepithiggi people from the Gulf of Carpentaria and Cape York, and I currently live on Naarm. I bring a strategic brain and person‑centred mindset to my work as a coach, mentor and advisor on leadership, resilience, and wellbeing in high‑stakes environments.
Why Koaching the Gap?
I completed my coaching certification through the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership while working as a Community Corrections Officer back in 2020. From lived and professional experience, I knew then that the “gap” wasn’t truly about Blackfellas. Coaching was a way for me to change hearts, minds and skillset through the power of questioning and dialogue.
In 2023, I founded Koaching the Gap® to do what I’m good at: helping people see differently. My work is about building tools and conversations that unlock new ways of thinking. I help people step beyond assumptions, question the structures shaping their choices, and recognise where options are being limited. Through practical strategies, what once felt fixed becomes flexible, and what seemed inevitable opens into new possibilities.
Why Resilience?
I’m a queer, neurodivergent Blackfella who walks in many worlds. Those worlds haven’t always been kind. I’ve lost peers, colleagues, and loved ones to suicide, including my brother, and I nearly lost myself on my coming out journey.
Over time, I’ve learned to operationalise resilience to get shit done through objectively shit circumstances, to push systems forward, and to help shape safer, better spaces. I’m proud of that and honoured to share it.
My superpower is connection. I read people and systems quickly, cut through noise, and reveal pathways that weren’t visible before. My perspective is shaped by lived experience, survival, and resilience, by my Knowing, Doing, and Being as a Queer Blak First Nations person in Australia.
If you need a trusted advisor to help you push shit up hill in real-time, I couldn’t come more highly recommended, by me…and some folks scattered through these testimonials.

Professional Experience.
Government
My public sector career spans seven years across two public services, where I consistently held senior government roles, including at the EL2 level. I worked across multiple ministerial portfolios, primarily in social and strategic policy.
Focus areas included criminal justice, corrections, Aboriginal self‑determination, and mental health. Within these portfolios, I specialised in stakeholder engagement, strategic policy, policy analysis, governance, and risk management.
